Rehearsals for Memory
Relocation during wartime turned memory into an active practice.
In Vienna, I began compulsively searching for visual substitutes for Ukraine: fragments that felt familiar enough to momentarily belong. Taste, sound, touch, smell, and look are activated through parallel actions drawn from childhood rituals.
The film uses repetition and staged observation as a form of self-reflection. A rehearsal for remembering. A rehearsal for coming back.
