Studies
Our program is called “Concept and Creation.”
The goal of the Ideas Class is to train independent designers and optimally prepare them for the dynamic job market for creative positions. To this end, we provide students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills, as well as comprehensive conceptual and visual-analytical abilities, largely through hands-on projects. In addition to technical knowledge, the program also focuses on fostering social skills to provide guidance in navigating complex professional challenges. Our students engage intensively with the technical skills of graphic design, as well as the fundamentals of design and production. They hone their drawing skills and learn what makes for good typography. You will learn the basics of marketing. They learn how to most effectively reach and persuade their target audiences.
The core artistic course covers the systematic development of ideas and their visualization, the analysis and refinement of advertising communication, art direction (scribbles, layout, typography, illustration, packaging design, photography), and the development of TV commercials (treatments, storyboards). In addition to the core artistic discipline, the curriculum includes courses such as figure drawing and still life, writing, cultural history, art history, social sciences, advertising psychology, communication theory, color theory, media theory, theory and history of design, marketing, contract law and copyright law, design and drawing techniques, typography, printing and prepress, photography, film and video, and media technology.
Communication design is a branch of the field of design.
