Wolfgang Arck (born 1966) graduated in Catholic Theology and is presently associate professor of Religious Education and Didactics at the Episcopal General Vicariate of Trier. His scope of work includes training pastoral assistants of the Diocese of Trier in religious education, and supporting diploma and bachelor students in their careers as spiritual advisors.
After passing his A-Levels, he read Catholic Theology and Educational Science in Trier and Münster. Alongside his studies, he completed the so-called pastoral-psychological curriculum at the Institute of Pastoral Psychology in Trier and is thus familiar with methods of client-centred psychotherapy. He has trained in outdoor education and works for the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate as a lecturer in continuing and further education for teachers. He participates in the Certificate Workshop at the Ruth Cohn Institute and is familiar with methods of theme-centred interaction (TCI).
Wolfgang Arck teaches religion at a school in a deprived area and thus looks back on years of experience in his capacity as leader of a group of youngsters with emotional and behavioural difficulties. He has additional experience in conflict mediation and resolution.
At present he is on 75% parental leave, is married and father of one child.
