Martin Sonneborn is a German satirist and politician; he was editor-in-chief of the monthly satirical magazine Titanic from early 2000 until October 2005. Sonneborn is staff leader of the satirical column SPAM at Spiegel Online. In his political capacity, Sonneborn is Chairman (known in party jargon as GröVorAZ – Greatest All Time Chairman) of the Party for Labour, Rule of Law, Animal Protection, Promotion of Elites and Grassroots Democratic Initiative (Die PARTEI). As front-runner for the PARTEI, he was elected member of the European Parliament in the 2014 European election.
