Martin Ludwig Hofmann is professor of Human Science at Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Architecture of Ostwestfalen – Lippe University of Applied Sciences. He read sociology, political science and business administration at the University of Freiburg. He also studied in Great Britain and with Lakota Indians in the USA under the auspices of UNESCO. After graduating, he started his career at BBDO agency network, working as a copywriter, creative director and, finally, as CEO in various different communication agencies. He has received over 50 national and international awards for his creative and conceptual work. Alongside his profession, he worked as an assistant lecturer at the University of Freiburg and as a human science consultant for the EU commission in Brussels. He is an appointed member of the Deutscher Werkbund (German Association of Craftsmen).
In the summer semester of 2014, he was guest professor at the Department of Cultural Studies, University of Applied Sciences Vienna.
